Roads, Highways & Pavements

Your Parish Council is in regular contact with the Highway Authority about the state of the roads, paths and drains in our parish.

Somerset County Council is the Highway Authority for our parish. The County Council’s Highways team is responsible for adopted highways, public rights of way and much of the infrastructure on them such as street lighting, traffic signals, signs and bridges. The prime duty of the County Council is to reasonably maintain and repair the highway and ensure it is kept free from obstructions.
